![]() ![]() Five experimental diets were formulated at varying levels of inclusion of wilted waterleaf at 0% (Diet1), 2.5% (Diet 2), 5% (Diet 3), 7.5% (Diet 4), and 10% (Diet 5) respectively. Two hundred and twenty-five fingerlings (initial mean weight 7.1☐.1g) mixed sex were treated with five diets containing maize, fishmeal, soymeal, wilted waterleaf, bone meal, lysine, methionine, vitamin premix, vitamin C, and salt in fifteen replicates and stocked at the rate of 15 fish per unit and reared for twelve weeks. The study was carried out to determine the growth response of Oreochromis niloticus fingerlings fed with diet mixed with wilted waterleaf (Talinum triangulare). ![]() This situation undermines the livelihoods of user communities and threatens the food security of local populations. Currently, a water leak due to the damage of the stop valve, at the monk tower of the dam, affects rice and vegetable productions. ![]() It appears that the dysfunction of the lake supply system has led to the closure of a state-built fish farm in the lowlands. Semi-structured interviews and direct observation of the facts were also used during the field surveys. ![]() The methodological approach is based on an exploitation of the documentation relating to tributary activities of fluvio-lacustrine environments. The objective of this study is to examine the consequences of the failure of this lake development on the cultural and halio-aquaculture activities that depend on it. This reality negatively impacts the agricultural activities practiced in this lowlands of an area of more than 200 hectares. Today, however, the dam of Tiné in the sub-prefecture of Bahouakaha, like many of these works, is in a poor state of operation due to a lack of regular maintenance of its facilities. The presence of these water reservoirs has helped to boost agricultural production and to begin an extension of aquaculture activities through the construction of various fish farms. Lakes of hydro-agricultural dams are technical innovations developed by the Ivorian State in the countryside of the north of the country in the 1970s. ![]()
